Just Enjoy

I believe it was Sunday morning that I woke up and needed to run some errands. I showered, dressed, and prepared myself to walk out the door. When I reached the stairwell and looked out the window, I noticed something. It was white. And it wasn't just a dusting white, but it was white, white, covered white.

It had snowed.

This was a very happy day for me. I love snow. And the best part about this morning was, it was still snowing. The flakes were huge and falling with the gentleness of a lifting sand in your hand and letting it sift through your fingers. And there were still so many flakes. I returned to my dorm room and sat and watched it.

Later I discovered that Geoff and Megan had run around outside early that morning and Geoff had taken some great pictures. So these are all courtesy of him.

So, at the title suggests, just enjoy!

At OWU, Again.

Back at school, I'm back at school and I haven't stopped moving since. New classes, new books, it's a non-stop dedication. This blog comes to you early, before breakfast actually. The lot of us always meet and walk like a mob to Ham-Will for breakfast. The Bakery is in Ham-Will and it is simply divine. The muffins are like biting a cloud; soft and moist, yet they fill you. Flavors range from classic to unique. I'm a lemon poppy seed girl myself. Here, I designate Friday as muffin day. If I didn't limit myself to one day, I would have a muffin every day. The Bakery also sells donuts, coffee, other sweet delights.
There are other breakfast items besides pastery. In the main food court there is cereal, hot breakfast the usually consists of French Toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage. There are also egg sandwiches.

Now I'm hungry.

To deter my stomach for just a few more minutes, I will discuss classes. As earlier stated, classes kicked off with a woosh. It was very similar to getting caught in the wind that whips across the JAYwalk. Ohio Wesleyan is on semester schedule so finals happened before everybody left for the holidays and we got a true, no-think-about-school break. Now that everybody's back, they have completely new classes. Now I'm going to go eat.

Now that I've eaten and attend some classes I find the time to finish. It snowed today. It was just a bit but walking through it and watching it was spectacular. I am a snow and cold person. I love the feel the chill in my lungs when I step outside and take a breath. There is something about it that make me feel so alive. And the snow today was just an added pleasure.

Catch ya'll later.

This week's pictures: First is a continuation of the leaf pictures. This the lot us buried: Geoff, me, Megan, Stacy, and Ryan. Picture number two comes from Julia's living room. On the couch its Megan, me, Geoff, and cat. Picture three is from the Delaware Country Park where we all spent and afternoon. This one is of Mery and Me. And the fourth and smallest picture comes straight from the admission office and the bulletin boards of OWU Wonderful Tour Guides. When you come for a visit I suggest you check it out. OWU has some of the most interesting tour guides around.

Real Quick

This is going to be a short one. I've been on a writing binge for the past six days and I don't want to ruin it, but I though I'd check in here real quick.
What's a writing binge? Well, basically I got this idea and I've just run with it. My schedule for the days past has been wake up, type, eat breakfast, type, eat lunch, type, eat dinner, type, watch a bit of tv, lay in bed and type myself to sleep. Then that's repeated. I've gone through my CD collection about four times because I'm a music writer. I need something in the background to focus.
Classes start again on Monday and I'm trying to finish before I get back to school. That might call for some late night writings but I know what I get up to school my typing time will decrease by a lot. That's how it is anywhere. When you get to school, you do school work. It is possible to get free-time but for what I'm doing, I need days of free-time and at school I need to focus on my work. So it's back to the binge.

Pictures: The theme this week is place I work on writing. First is of the couch that I've been working on all this week. Second is of the dining room chair that I find provides excellent inspiration. Third is on my bed. Also in this picture are the examples of working buddies. First is Spencer Carl and second if Simon Christopher. They are my two cats. We have four total but they are usually not to far away when I'm writing.

Enjoy yourselves.

Me at Home

So, all the high school friends have returned to their college lives. My girls at OSU are back there, have been back there for a few days. Jonathan is traveling with the band to Arizona for the big OSU football game. I am planning to watch it. As earlier discussed I am a college football girl and it looks to be a good game. As much as I love the Battling Bishops, I am also a big Buckeye fan. Going to school in Columbus all you see is the scarlet and gray. It's a neat cultural experience.

It's just Mike and me left in Cincy. Mike has been one of my good friends since eight grade. Our lockers were right next to each other and that positioning started out joke planning. At first, the jokes were just on each other. I shut his jacket in his locker so he was late leaving. He would slam his hand into my locker and shut it just when I got it open making me late to class. After the jokes ended on each other, we started playing them on our friends. We decorated Katie's room for her sixteenth birthday using tin foil, fake snow, and pop tabs. It was fun. He heads back to school on Saturday so then it'll just be me for a week.
I am looking forward to a week of me. Mom and I will hang out, I'll be totting Gretchen between exams and work, and doing crossword puzzles with Dad. Hopefully I'll get some writing done too. My book is on its way to completion. Well, I finished writing it, but as I let some friends read it, it becomes apparent that three re-writes just aren't enough. I'm now trying to gather all my creative strength for re-write number four. It has come to that point that I just need to set it aside a couple months. Write something else, and then come back.

School is also starting back up, here. I think its a little over a week and then I'll be back on campus. It'll be sad leaving home but I am getting excited about this new semester. Last semester went so well, that I'm hoping it'll just keep getting better.
I'll keep ya'll posted.

Enjoy yourselves.
Pictures: First is my girls at OSU: Rose, Carrie, and Olivia. Second is when Mike played football in the All-Star Game. The lot of us went up to support him. Mike is in the back, then Will, Olivia, Rose, Katie, and me. Three is Jonathan, who plays in the marching ban at OSU. The two of us have been friends since first grade. Picture number four is of Jonathan and me at my graduation party.
